Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion (finely diced)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form into patties.
  3. Brown patties in skillet.
  4. Sauté onions and add flour.
  5. Whisk in broth and cream.
  6. Return patties to skillet.
  7. Bake covered at 350°F for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for 15 more minutes.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free breadcrumbs and flour. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
