- Combine beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Form into patties and cook in a frying pan.
- Remove patties to prepare the gravy.
- Cook onions, then add flour to make a roux.

- Return patties to pan and cook through.
Notes
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed vegetables. A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds color and flavor. Don’t overwork the ground beef to prevent tough patties.
