- Step 1: Slice the sausage into bite-sized rounds or strips.
- Step 2: Chop the vegetables: Thinly slice cabbage, onion, and any optional veggies for even cooking.
- Step 3: Prepare the sauce: Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and any sweeteners or spices in a small bowl.
- Step 4: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add oil and cook the sausage until golden and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Step 5: In the same pan, sauté garlic and onion until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Step 6: Toss in the cabbage and cook for 3-5 minutes until it softens but retains a slight crunch. Add optional veggies if using.
- Step 7: Return the sausage to the skillet. Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well to coat all ingredients evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Step 8: Remove from heat and serve hot. Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs for extra flair.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute sausage with tofu. Adjust spice levels to taste by modifying chili flakes.
