- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased baking dish, layer the ground beef mixture.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the top.
- Pour the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the mashed potatoes.
- Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
- If using, arrange green beans around the edges of the dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
